Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Living with a lung condition can make everyday tasks such as climbing stairs, walking or even talking feel exhausting. Many people respond by doing less, which weakens the body further and increases breathlessness. Pulmonary rehabilitation breaks this cycle.
Physiovista Pulmonary Rehabilitation combines breathing retraining, endurance and strength exercise, airway clearance techniques and education. It is designed for people with COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease and those recovering from COVID-19 or chest surgery.

What a Typical Session Looks Like & Key Benefits
Each session starts with a check of oxygen saturation, pulse and how breathless you feel. After a gentle warm-up of breathing and mobility exercises, you complete endurance work such as walking or cycling, followed by strength exercises. We pause as needed for rest and recovery breathing. The session closes with relaxation and a review of symptoms. Sessions generally last about an hour, with rests built in.

Why Choose Physiovista
Our therapists are experienced with respiratory conditions and understand that breathlessness can be frightening. We never push you beyond safe limits, and we teach you practical techniques you can use anywhere. Your doctor remains informed of your progress.
Safety Comes First:
We monitor oxygen levels throughout exercise and stop if they drop below safe thresholds. If you use supplemental oxygen, we plan sessions around your prescribed flow. Please bring your inhalers to every visit and tell us about any fever, new cough or worsening symptoms before you start.
Practical Tips & Lifestyle Support
Beyond exercise, we help you manage triggers and protect your lungs. This includes avoiding smoke and pollutants, maintaining good nutrition, practising energy conservation and recognising early signs of infection. Good nutrition is vital, as both being underweight and being overweight can worsen breathlessness.
