Foot Clinic
Your feet carry you through about 100,000 steps a week of walking, standing and running. When they hurt, every step becomes a reminder. Heel pain, ankle sprains, flat feet and stiff toes are common and treatable, yet many people ignore them until walking becomes difficult.
The Foot Clinic at Physiovista Healthcare Network treats conditions of the foot and ankle with expert physiotherapy, footwear and orthotic guidance, and movement retraining. We find why your foot hurts, not just where, and help you walk, run and stand comfortably again.
About Our Foot Clinic
The foot has 26 bones and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments that act as shock absorbers and levers. The way your foot lands and pushes off affects your ankle, knee, hip and spine. A weak arch, tight calf, stiff ankle or poor footwear can create pain far from the foot itself.
At our foot clinic, we assess your foot structure, ankle mobility, calf strength, balance and gait, and we study the shoes you wear and the surfaces you use. Our approach is non-surgical and function-based, using manual therapy, targeted strengthening, taping, orthotic advice and technology. We also provide specialised foot care education for people with diabetes.

What to Expect at Your First Foot Visit
Your first visit takes about 45 to 60 minutes. We examine your feet standing and walking, check ankle and toe movement, test calf and foot strength and, where available, record a gait or pressure scan. Please bring the shoes you wear most often, including work and sports shoes, as they tell us a lot.
Self-care tips: avoid walking barefoot on hard floors if you have heel pain, replace worn-out shoes, stretch your calves daily, build up walking or running distance slowly and check your feet every day if you have diabetes or reduced sensation.
Frequently Asked Questions
The plantar fascia tightens overnight and is suddenly stretched with your first steps. This is classic plantar fasciitis. Stretching, strengthening and load management usually help.
Usually not. Heel spurs are often found in people without pain, and the pain generally comes from the plantar fascia, not the spur itself.
Most people improve in a few months with consistent treatment, though some take longer. Early treatment shortens the course.
Some people benefit, especially with flat feet or high arches, but they work best together with strengthening and good footwear. We will advise after assessment.
Early protection, gentle movement and graded loading are better than prolonged rest. Rehabilitation reduces the risk of re-spraining, which is high without it.
Many flat feet cause no trouble. If you have pain or fatigue, strengthening and footwear changes can help.
Check your feet daily, wear well-fitted footwear, never walk barefoot and seek care for any wound, blister or colour change quickly. Our team can teach you safe foot care.
