Sports Rehabilitation
Whether you are a professional athlete, a weekend cricketer, a runner training for a marathon or someone who has just joined a gym, injuries can interrupt your progress. The real challenge is not just healing but returning safely, so the injury does not repeat. Many athletes return too early or too late, and both carry risk.
Sports Rehabilitation at Physiovista Healthcare Network gives athletes of every level evidence-based injury treatment and structured return-to-sport programmes. We combine hands-on care, strength and conditioning, movement analysis and technology to help you recover faster, perform better and stay injury-free.
About Our Sports Rehabilitation Service
Sports injuries come from sudden events like twists, tackles or falls, and from gradual overload of tendons, muscles and bones. Effective rehabilitation looks beyond the injured part. It examines training load, technique, strength, flexibility, endurance and recovery habits to see why the injury happened.
At Physiovista, sports rehabilitation follows a criteria-based model. You progress from one stage to the next by meeting measurable milestones, such as strength symmetry, range of movement and hop and agility tests, rather than waiting for a fixed number of weeks. This approach reduces re-injury risk and builds confidence. We work with athletes in cricket, football, badminton, tennis, running, swimming, gym training, martial arts and many other sports, and coordinate with coaches, trainers and sports physicians.

Why Choose Physiovista for Sports Rehabilitation?
What to Expect at Your First Sports Visit
Your first session takes 45 to 60 minutes. We ask about your sport, training load and injury history, examine the injured area and related joints, and test strength and movement. Please wear your training clothes, bring your sports shoes and any scans, and tell us your competition schedule so we can plan a realistic timeline.
To support your recovery: sleep well, eat enough protein and overall energy, stay active in ways that do not aggravate the injury, warm up properly before training and increase training load gradually, ideally by no more than about ten percent a week.
Frequently Asked Questions
You should have minimal pain, full range of movement, near-equal strength to the other side, and pass sport-specific tests. We use measured criteria so the decision is based on evidence.
Ice may ease pain in the first day or two, but movement and protected loading matter more for recovery. Heat helps with stiff, tight muscles later. We will advise you.
Often yes. We help you adapt your training so you maintain fitness while the injured area heals.
Mild strains may recover in two to three weeks, moderate strains take four to eight weeks, and severe tears longer. Rehabilitation quality strongly affects re-injury risk.
Recurrence often reflects unresolved weakness, poor movement control, training overload or poor recovery. We address these underlying causes.
Not always. It depends on your sport, age, knee stability and goals. We will discuss options with you and your surgeon.
Yes. Many athletes use our screening and strength programmes to improve efficiency and reduce injury risk.
Mild muscle soreness for a day or so after new exercises is normal and shows your body is adapting. Sharp, worsening or lasting pain is not, so tell your therapist and we will adjust your programme.
